My name is Bei Li who is the provider of Morning Star Family Child Care with over 10 years of taking care children’s experience. I have completed the Introduction to Family Child Care Course at Westcoast Child Care Resource Centre and have learned lots of meaningful knowledge of how to care the little children. I have taken First Aid CPR course and Food Safety course and already got these two certificates. I am a member of BC Family Child Care Association.
Running
a family child care centre has been a dream of mine for a long time. The first thing of my day care is all children are safe and having fun. I believe that each child, in interaction with materials, activities in the daycare environment, construct his or her own understanding of the world. I will encourage the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development of each child through age appropriate play. I will teach children strong self-help skills and allowing them to make the choices
of playing activities to foster their good self-esteem.
I believe that social skills are very important. They need to learn how to play with their peers and express their frustration and anger in a non-aggressive manner.
It is very important for them to learn how to discuss and problem-solve with their peers. I will teach them how to express them and the steps to problem solving.
I commit myself in making everyday a happy and productive learning experience
for each child enrolled in my family child care. I provide a place for children to learn and help them in their overall development through well developed curriculum. Each child is encouraged to discover his or her abilities and interests, in a
warm and loving atmosphere.
